- ExitedFindlay Park American FundSeptember 2026
“We made a few portfolio changes this quarter, selling businesses where we have reduced conviction. We exited Steris as growth in its higher-margin sterilisation business fell short of expectations, weakening the case for improving margins and returns. CDW was sold because stronger hardware demand failed to translate into the services growth and margin expansion we had anticipated. We also exited Etsy following strong share-price performance, given continuing competitive concerns and better opportunities elsewhere, and trimmed selected semiconductor, railway, industrial and energy holdings.”

“Other top contributors included Markel Corp (MKL), Etsy Inc. (ETSY) and new addition Cooper Companies Inc. (COO). We elected to exit our position in Etsy with the stock on a spike.”
