These funds discuss Eaton — as a competitor, benchmark or comparable — without disclosing a position in it.

  • Theme 4: Grid transformation and data centre infrastructure demands The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence has been placing significant pressure on global utility grids, driving strong demand for the equipment needed to support increasingly power-intensive data centres. This earnings season provided further evidence that this trend is not slowing, with industrial equipment manufacturers continuing to report strong order growth and healthy backlog growth across power distribution equipment, medium-voltage switchgear, liquid cooling systems and technologies that help stabilise the grid. These results reinforced the attractive growth outlook for power- focused industrial companies benefiting from the continued build-out of data centre infrastructure. Eaton CEO, Paulo Ruiz: "The total US data center backlog has grown to 307 gigawatts, or 15 years of backlog, at 2025 build rates, up from 12 years since our last update... a very nice tailwind for Eaton for years to come." Theme 5: Many firms caught up in the software sell-off are continuing to deliver solid fundamentals Many software and technology companies that came under heavy pressure during the software sell-off are proving the resilience of their core businesses, delivering solid fundamentals and showing that generative AI acts as a secular tailwind rather than an existential disintermediation threat.
