“It’s been a busy three months as seen by the flurry of activity in our accounts. The dispersion of price action across the universe of companies we like—a topic we discussed at length in our last letter—continued throughout the second quarter. We believe the market is valuing some great businesses at highly attractive levels at present. We try to be fully invested for the most part, and that is certainly the case today with cash running at 1-2% of portfolios. With limited cash on hand and a growing list of good ideas, new investments force us to make tough trade-offs. Such was the case with Boston Omaha which we sold during the quarter to fund other investments.”
